What I can help with — and what it costs

The paperwork that trips up almost every newcomer to Spain, handled calmly and in plain English. These are friendly estimates — typically 25–40% below standard gestor fees — and exclude government charges. Your free call gives you an exact quote.

Your NIE number

The foundation for everything — bank account, rentals, bills, taxes. I guide you through the form, documents and appointment, start to finish.

from €60

TIE / residence card

Get your physical residence card sorted, in the right order, with the right documents — so you’re not sent away to start again.

from €98

Empadronamiento (padrón)

The town-hall registration that quietly blocks everything else. I help you gather what your local office actually accepts.

from €38

Booking your cita previa

The appointment that vanishes in seconds. I help you find and secure the right slot — for the right office, first time.

from €20

Exchanging your driving licence

The DGT process, demystified — eligibility, paperwork, medical test and appointment, walked through step by step.

from €72

Social Security & healthcare

Getting your Social Security number and registering for healthcare (TSI/SIP), so you and your family are covered.

from €42

Setting up as autónomo

Going self-employed? I help you understand and prepare the registration steps so you can start working with confidence.

from €95

Opening a bank account

Which documents, which banks are expat-friendly, and what to say — so your account opens without the back-and-forth.

from €38

Translating & explaining documents

That official letter you can’t read? I translate it into plain English and explain exactly what it wants and by when.

from €30

Tax forms & padrón renewals

The recurring bits — modelo forms, padrón renewals and reminders — kept on track so nothing lapses or surprises you.

from €50

Navigating courts & litigation

Caught up in a Spanish court process? I help you understand each step, organise and translate your documents, and keep you informed — working alongside the lawyer handling your case.

from €68

Buying or selling property

From first offer to the notary, I guide you through the process in plain English and keep the paperwork moving between your lawyer, agent and notary so nothing slips.

from €115

Property legalisation

An unregistered extension or a build without the right permits? I help you understand what’s needed and coordinate the lawyer and architect to put it right.

from €115

Finding the right lawyer

Need a trusted, English-speaking Spanish lawyer for your situation? I’ll connect you with a vetted one who actually replies — at no cost to you.

Free

Flexible support — build your own

Your situation doesn’t fit a box? Choose pay-as-you-go help by the hour and we’ll tackle whatever paperwork, forms, calls or admin you’re facing — shaped entirely around what you need, when you need it.

€30 / hour

Just arrived and feeling buried? Ask about the Settling-In package — your essentials bundled together from €295 (well below a typical first-year gestoría). All support is guidance and preparation to help you complete your own paperwork — not legal representation. For anything that legally requires a licensed gestor or lawyer, I’ll connect you with a trusted one.

Simple & human

How it works

No call centres, no ticket numbers. Just a clear, three-step path.

1

A free 30-minute call

Tell me what you're stuck on. I'll tell you honestly whether I can help, and exactly how.

2

We sort the paperwork

I prepare clear documents, checklists or responses with you — and keep you updated at every step.

3

You move forward

You understand your situation and act with confidence — knowing I'm a reply away if you need me.

"I once waited weeks for a lawyer to answer a simple email — and ended up filling the forms in myself. No one should be left in that silence."
Debbie Founder — and an expat who's been through it

I actually reply

The number one complaint about lawyers and gestores is silence. I built this service to be the opposite.

I've lived it

I've navigated this paperwork myself — in two countries. I know how frightening the silence and the jargon feel.

I stay in my lane

I'm not a lawyer. I help you understand and act — and connect you with licensed professionals when the law requires one.

Good to know

Questions & honesty

Are you a lawyer? +

No — and I'll always be upfront about that. I don't provide legal advice or representation. I provide calm, practical support: helping you understand documents, organise information, complete your own forms, and communicate clearly. For advice on the law itself, you need a qualified lawyer, and I'll happily point you to one.

How is the Spain service different from a gestor? +

In Spain, licensed gestores administrativos and abogados are the professionals who file paperwork and give advice on your behalf. I don't replace them — I help you understand the process in plain English, prepare your own documents, and get organised, and I work alongside trusted licensed professionals for anything that legally requires one.

What do you actually help with? +

Understanding letters and forms, drafting clear written responses, building step-by-step checklists, reviewing documents in plain English, and generally being a responsive human in your corner. In Spain that includes guidance on NIE, TIE and empadronamiento and help booking appointments.

How much does it cost? +

It starts with a free 30-minute call so we both know it's a good fit. After that, support is offered at clear, affordable rates depending on what you need — and pro-bono help is available where it's genuinely needed. No surprises, no hourly meters running in silence.

How quickly will you reply? +

Within one working day, always. That's the whole point of this service.

"I would like to thank Expat Paperwork for their excellent assistance in helping us obtain an appointment at the local police station for fingerprinting, as part of our Spanish residency card application. The process was handled efficiently and professionally, making what could have been a stressful experience much easier. I would happily recommend them to anyone needing help with Spanish residency paperwork."

James B., Nerja
★★★★★

"When applying for my Spanish Non-Lucrative Visa, I was shocked by how much some agencies were charging. Expat Paperwork helped me get all my paperwork in order at a very reasonable cost, and were always available to answer questions. They genuinely wanted to help rather than sell an expensive service — it saved me both money and stress. Highly recommended for anyone applying for an NLV."

★★★★★

"When we found ourselves dealing with the Spanish court system, we felt completely overwhelmed and struggled to find anyone willing to help. Expat Paperwork stepped in when nobody else would — they helped us find a lawyer, worked through a mountain of documents, and were a vital link between us and our legal representative. They even helped on a pro-bono basis when we couldn't pay upfront. I genuinely hate to think where we'd be without them."
